  • Murder Suspect Busted For Smoking A Cigarette

    Finally, California's nanny state smoking restrictions have made the world a better place. As the Oakland Tribune reports, murder suspect Franklin Bean, wanted for a December 17th shooting in Fruitvale, was nabbed in last Friday night after he was busted for smoking a cigarette too close to the entrance of a Hayward bar.

  • Lady Knocked Unconscious During Hayes Valley Mugging

    A 55-year-old woman was knocked unconscious on a little before 8 p.m. on Tuesday night during a mugging. Near Market and Laguna, the suspect approached the victim and knocked her to the ground, "at which point she said she passed out." After awakening, "her keys and cash were missing." The suspect was described as being a man "in his early to mid-50s." Information about the attack should be directed to the Police Department's anonymous...
