14 Pictures Of Dogs And Cats That Need A Home Right Now

By Brock Keeling on Jan 26, 2012

These guys sure are lonely. They could really use a home and family (likes yours!) to call their own. Maybe you would like a little love in your life too, yes? Well, why not adopt one of these lovable, needy, remarkable creatures today. Or tomorrow. Just do it soon! You can visit them at the SF SPCA (2500 16th Street) to see if you're a match. (Hint: you are.) If you have a heart or are in need of some karma, or both, please take a look at these guys. Their eyes are brimming over with sadness because they aren't with you. However, they're just waiting to explode with love and joy all over your life.

Our point? One or all of these wonderful pets could die alone if you don't help.

Adoption Info:

All pets adopted from SFSPCA have received a pre-adoption veterinary exam and behavior assessment, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery and a microchip.

We love the SF_SPCA!!  Just brought home a new kitten (our second from the SF_SPCA) about 10 days ago.  She was well cared-for and adjusted to life with us very quickly.

It's so easy to adopt a pet and they are so much fun!  Thanks, SF_SPCA!

Thanks for the support SFist! We'd not be able to find home for 4,000+ cats and dogs each year without the support and action of our community. We thank you, they thank you.

Thanks for the support! We'd not be able to find homes for over 4,000 cats and dogs each year without this kind of community. Much appreciated!
  • We fostered two of Petrolina's kittens and ended up adopting them - they're very sweet cats!

Probably will never read a story on SFist (or anywhere else) entitled "14 Pictures Of People That Need A Home Right Now". Have you ever seen the SFSPCA building in Potrero Hill? it's nicer than the Zynga offices. Might be bigger, too. That place is huge.

YEAH! And what's up with cats and dogs pooping outside in full view yet still being considered cute, but when a hobo does it, people are like, EEEEEEWWW?

Really.... so SFist does something nice for some pets that need homes and you have to chime right in that there aren't enough save the homeless articles? Why don't you go down to the tenderloin and offer your spare bedroom to someone down there? Probably won't right? Oh yeah, it's easier to criticize good intentions on a message board.

Hi, welcome to the Internet. We like to make cynical jokes around here to irritate newcomers. Enjoy your stay!

This is torture for those who do not live in pet friendly places.
  • Perhaps you can send this piece to a friend or colleague who does?
