Yesterday, somewhere around 500 students, faculty, and community members showed up at a vigil at Richmond High School, where a 15-year-old girl was beaten and gang raped over over a grueling two-and-a-half-hour ordeal on October 24 during a homecoming dance.

A nice change of pace from the confused teenagers supporting the alleged rapists.

At Tuesday's vigil, the victim spoke out about the attack. In a written statement, the 15-year-old sophmore student said the following:

"We realize people are angry about this ... But let the anger cause change, change that is necessary to keep our children, our neighbors and our friends safe."

Richmond High School, as we pointed out earlier, is now accepting letters and donations for the victim and her family. You can send them to: Richmond High School, 1250 23rd St., Richmond, CA 94804-1011.

the "free cody" page has been taken down/deleted.

i wrote "rachelle" yesterday basically saying wtf? she responded "im discussed in him and all them mother fuckers i hope they rot in fuckin jail...."

to which i replied "'free my niggah cody' ring a bell...?"

to which she replied by deleting her comment on that page and saying "i think sexual assult is wrong and people who comit that crime need stay in jail 4 ever"...

so...it's all very confusing. but, glad to know she thinks sexual assault is bad...there's hope for RH yet...

It's really unimportant given the context, but that isn't the only discussed around. Hundreds of years fighting for the right of women to be educated to be recognized and here she is pissing it down her leg.
